lost in cyberspace

i really want to write something purposeful and entertaining. but, there is so much i'd like to share and not enough time to put together anything i would feel does any of it justice. i think i may give up momentarily and resort to a bulleted list of links and notes to myself. after all, this is, in a way, a publicly accessible personal log.

a few weeks ago (maybe a month even, it's a blur) i joined the union of rad in the push to bring the lithium framework for php 5.3 public. working with a group of the most talented, and amiable, individuals in my industry, we set out to put together an identity, design, and small network of applications, both new and existing, to build the foundation for the tools, community and distribution of what we believe is the most rad php framework to date. 

it has been incredible. so many great people all coming together, with such open minds; to push ourselves and each other; to learn and better this craft we are all so passionate about. it has been challenging, engaging, exhausting at times, and overall, totally awesome. and it is seriously just beginning. version 0.2 of the framework is set for release monday. there is still a lot of work to be done - and I look forward to doing all that I can, learning more, and meeting and learning with new developers that share the same passions. 

ther e's so much more, and so many i'd like to thank or give a virtual fist-bump - hopefully you know who you are. but i've been burning the candle at both ends for weeks now, and i don't think i have it in me tonight. and, before too much time goes by, i wanted to get something down. this is better than nothing, i think.
